A healthy diet, a healthier world

Today there is a new nutrition reality. It is a reality where undernutrition (such as micronutrient deficiencies, stunting and wasting) , overweight, obesity and diet-related noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) like diabetes and cancer now coexist in the same countries, communities, households and even individuals. This is what is called the double burden of malnutrition which impacts not only our health but also that of future generations, the health of our planet and our economies.

This video is designed to help viewers better understand this double burden of malnutrition and its drivers. It aims to raise awareness and contribute to the global dialogue and much needed new narrative and action to achieve better health through nutrition.

  1. The world health organisation & governments flogging these obesity campaigns today if you put on a few kilos then, levelling the blame towards the general public is truly– sickening!! How about stop allowing so many fast food chains to operate? How about providing cheaper access to healthier foods especially for lower income classes? How about banning so many additives, fillers, & chemicals from being used in food production?! How about banning the construction of all those global food supermarket chains that, are conveniently dotted 2 KMs apart from one another? How about subsidising the cost of weight loss injections?? Please. If they were genuinely serious about it, they’d do all of the above & more!! They’d rather lie about the real causes of obesity today while making money off all the very things aforementioned if anything, & while making you, feel paranoid about putting on a few kilos!!
