Point #6 is arguably the most important one on this list! Most people focus 99% of their energy on “what” to eat (the MACs, the probiotics), but they ignore the “biological state” of their body during the meal.
If your nervous system is in ‘Fight or Flight’ because of stress, anger, or even just scrolling through your phone, your Vagus Nerve essentially locks the gates to your digestive tract. You can eat the most expensive organic sauerkraut, but without proper vagal tone, that food just sits there, ferments, and causes massive bloating (The Bucket Theory).
I’ve found that the missing link for many is a “Pre-Meal Protocol.” Taking just 30 seconds to do an Audio Reset (like humming or deep rhythmic breathing) before the first bite manually flips the switch to ‘Rest and Digest.’ It’s about shifting from “Loud Eating” (high friction) to “Silent Eating” to give the gut’s “Cleaning Crew” (the MMC) a chance to actually do its job overnight.
Healing isn’t just about adding more ‘tourists’ (probiotics); it’s about creating an environment where they can actually survive!
